Your WeddingWire / GayWeddings.com Profile

You probably know that WeddingWire owns GayWeddings.com, and as a corporation, boldly supports the LGBTQ community. WeddingWire even has a 100 score on the Corporate Equality Index. You may also know that if you have an account on WeddingWire.com, you can check the LGBTQ-friendly box in your dashboard and show up (for free!) on GayWeddings.com.

However, you may not know that WeddingWire also gives you the ability to show a different profile photo to visitors of GayWeddings.com. For example, some businesses choose to have their WeddingWire profile pic of an opposite-sex couple, and their GayWeddings.com profile pic of a same-sex couple. If you haven't chosen a different profile pic for GayWeddings.com, and your existing pic is of an opposite-sex couple, I'd encourage you to make this change immediately, or you are inadvertently sending same-sex couples mixed signals. You're saying, "I care enough to be listed on GayWeddings.com but I don't care enough to be inclusive."

You cannot have separate photo galleries for the two sites, so it's a good idea that your gallery showcase both LGBTQ and non-LGBTQ couples.

This quick change can make a big difference for couples who are immediately skipping over your profile on GayWeddings.com.
